Visit to WiA-Office Tempelhof

Start of yesterday Berlin is hosting the “Working Conference on Work & Education for Migrants and Refugees”. One of the first topics of the agenda was a site visit to the “Welcome to Work Office” (WiA) in Tempelhof.

The international guests became invited by the Senatskanzlei of Berlin. The main reason of the visit was to learn more about the structure, the goals and the educational concept of the WiA offices in Berlin.

The several counselling institutions introduced themselves and presented their work.

All institutions representing the same ideas: supporting refugees in order to manage easy integration into the German society, helping them to access the labour market and assisting to achieve their personal goals. In addition the counselors were specifying the challenges and obstacles which they are being confronted with while doing this important work.
